Key Responsibilities
* Drive patient care by assisting nurses in organizing and delivering treatments, while maintaining hygiene, safety, comfort, dignity, and patient confidentiality.
* Respond swiftly to emergency situations, ensuring prompt support to nurses and patients.
* Monitor patient conditions, reporting relevant information to nurses and compensating for patients' lack of autonomy in feeding, hygiene, movement, and comfort.
* Foster a clean and safe working environment by maintaining facilities, equipment, and materials, and ensuring proper waste disposal.
* Collaborate with nurses and care-takers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
* Engage in hospital activities, including meetings, committees, training sessions, and basic health education programs.
* Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of biomedical equipment, alerting supervisors to any malfunctions.
* Ensure proper usage, maintenance, and cleaning of biomedical and pharmacy equipment in wards, reporting issues to line managers.
* Inform nurses and doctors of changes in patient conditions, caregiver concerns, or treatment suggestions.
* Coordinate patient reception and follow-up, including installation, information provision, and care support.
* Assist nurses in taking and interpreting vital signs, measurements, and delegated care tasks.
* Prioritize patient hygiene, comfort, and safety, including daily measures for bed-ridden patients and supporting safe patient flow.
* Support patient positioning, monitoring food and liquid intake, and assisting with meals and breastfeeding support.
* Inform and educate patients, caregivers, and families on hospital procedures, treatment plans, and self-care practices.
Requirements
Experience
At least 1 year
Skills
Ability and willingness to work flexibly across different wards during peak periods, and emergency situationsAbility to support rapid patient turnover and increased workload in high-pressure clinical settings
Education
- Diploma in Health Technology and Services
- Diploma in Nursing
- Nurse-aide/Health Assistant diploma (2 years)
