Key Responsibilities

* Spearhead laboratory operations, driving high-quality, timely, and accurate testing services for maternal, newborn, pediatric, and adult patients in a fast-paced humanitarian setting. * Champion quality assurance, biosafety, and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) compliance, ensuring seamless biomedical waste management and adherence to hospital protocols. * Foster a culture of excellence, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and on-the-job support to laboratory staff to elevate laboratory practice standards. * Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including clinical, pharmacy, MIS/MEAL, logistics, and medical logistics, to ensure efficient laboratory operations. * Oversee laboratory personnel, including technologists, assistants, and support staff, to optimize team performance and productivity. * Drive equipment maintenance, inventory management, and supply chain optimization, ensuring timely replenishment of laboratory supplies and reagents. * Ensure impeccable documentation, reporting, and data management practices, upholding data confidentiality and quality standards. * Support critical disease surveillance, outbreak response, and specimen referral initiatives, contributing to informed decision-making and public health outcomes. * Develop and implement capacity-building programs for laboratory staff and trainees, enhancing technical expertise and knowledge sharing. * Facilitate open communication and coordination with clinical and support teams, ensuring uninterrupted laboratory services and exceptional patient care.

Requirements

Experience

At least 5 years

Skills

Strong knowledge of laboratory diagnosticsFamiliarity with quality assuranceBiosafetyIPC protocolsOutbreak response systemsGood computer literacyProficiency in English and Bangla

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Medical Laboratory Technology

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical laboratory services
  • Experience working in humanitarian or low-resource settings
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
