Key Responsibilities

* Spearhead financial management and administration for the IFRC Sub-office in Cox's Bazar, driving strategic planning and implementation of humanitarian activities for population movement. * Collaborate with the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) to deliver high-quality programmes and services, ensuring effective coordination and resource mobilization. * Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the IFRC Country Office in Dhaka, to promote a unified response to humanitarian crises. * Lead the development and implementation of operational plans, ensuring alignment with the IFRC's Strategy 2030 and the Triple R approach (response, resilience, and respect). * Drive accountability and transparency in financial management, adhering to the IFRC's zero-tolerance policy on misconduct and upholding strict child safeguarding principles. * Manage and coordinate administrative tasks, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance, to ensure seamless operations and effective use of resources. * Architect and implement capacity-building initiatives to support the development of the BDRCS, enhancing their ability to respond to humanitarian crises and deliver high-quality services. * Facilitate effective communication and coordination between the IFRC Sub-office, the IFRC Country Office, and other stakeholders, ensuring a cohesive and impactful response to population movement in Cox's Bazar. * Analyze and mitigate risks, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe and secure manner, and that the IFRC's fundamental principles of humanity, impartiality, and neutrality are upheld.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology, Computer Science
  • Relevant university degree in Information Management, Information Technology, Computer Science, engineering discipline or equivalent technical qualification

Additional Requirements

  • Proficiency in using and supporting Windows environments and Microsoft M365 applications
  • Experience in inventory and stock management
  • Experience in providing training and capacity building
  • Experience of working with the Red Cross / Red Crescent movement is preferable
