Key Responsibilities
* Drive programme excellence by leading and coordinating SOS programme components, including Children's Village, Alternative Care, Youth Care, Community Programmes, and partnership projects, to achieve strategic objectives.
* Champion the rights and wellbeing of children and young people, ensuring their individual needs are respected, protected, and promoted in accordance with organisational standards.
* Architect planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation processes to ensure effective programme implementation and project delivery.
* Lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, aligned with SOS Children's Villages policies and values.
* Foster strong communication, teamwork, and knowledge sharing among stakeholders, including SOS families, youth care co-workers, and village co-workers.
* Create a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for children, youth, and caregivers, adhering to child and youth safeguarding standards.
* Mentor and support Caregivers, facilitating their professional growth and development to deliver exceptional care and support.
* Design and deliver quality youth care and development programmes, leveraging youth facilities and initiatives to drive positive outcomes.
* Build and strengthen community relationships, enhancing programme accessibility and community engagement through strategic partnerships and collaborations.
* Mitigate risks and ensure safe programming practices, addressing potential threats in a timely and effective manner.
* Develop and implement programme plans, entrepreneurship initiatives, and livelihood development projects, driving sustainable impact and growth.
* Inform and shape local advocacy initiatives, promoting child rights and protection, and contributing to the development of a supportive and inclusive community.

- Postgraduate degree

- Knowledge of partnership development and management
- Good understanding of Results-Based Management (RBM) and Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) systems
- Strong report writing and documentation skills
- Self-driven with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
- Passionate about improving the lives of children and young people
- Excellent team player with a positive attitude
- Meticulous with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
- Good understanding of gender equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding principles
- Strong ethical standards and integrity with sound physical and mental health
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and e-mail communication
- Proven track record of delivering strong results in leadership roles and commanding professional respect
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation
- Knowledge of child rights and child protection issues, including familiarity with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC)
