* Spearhead supplier research and selection to drive the company's import needs, ensuring reliable partnerships and optimal terms. * Negotiate and architect favorable agreements with suppliers, encompassing pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules that meet business objectives. * Implement and manage rigorous quality control measures to guarantee imported goods adhere to the company's standards. * Drive the preparation and submission of critical import documents, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, to facilitate seamless import operations. * Foster collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, banks, and authorities, to ensure efficient and compliant import processes. * Oversee and manage shipments, ensuring timely arrival and optimal condition of goods, and resolving any issues that may arise during the import process. * Stay abreast of evolving import laws, regulations, and customs procedures, ensuring full compliance and adherence to relevant requirements. * Develop and maintain detailed records of all import transactions, including documentation, costs, and compliance information, to inform strategic decisions. * Cultivate strong, strategic relationships with suppliers to establish a reliable and resilient supply chain. * Design and implement sourcing strategies that align with the demands of the Bangladesh market, leveraging cost-effective approaches and identifying new opportunities. * Identify, evaluate, and build partnerships with trustworthy international and local suppliers, securing favorable pricing, terms, and contracts. * Conduct market analysis, develop sourcing strategies, and implement cost-reduction initiatives to drive business growth and competitiveness. * Manage purchase orders, inventory levels, and production needs, ensuring alignment and optimization of resources. * Ensure compliance with all relevant customs, trade laws, and regulations, including those related to import VAT, duty, and government levies. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, finance, and sales, to drive business objectives and resolve issues. * Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, suppliers, freight forwarders, and authorities to facilitate smooth import operations. * Analyze supplier performance, delivery times, quality, and costs, using data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and improve supply chain resilience. * Provide actionable recommendations and reports to management, highlighting areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. * Adapt to changing circumstances, resolving issues and ensuring supply chain continuity in the face of unexpected challenges.
