Laboratory Technician

* Drive the preparation and execution of clinical exams and tests, adhering to medical prescriptions, MSF protocols, and procedures, including collecting blood, vaginal, and urethral samples. * Conduct laboratory exams, such as serology, hematology, biochemistry, bacteriology, and parasitology, and ensure accurate reporting and registration of sample results while maintaining confidentiality. * Manage and maintain laboratory equipment and materials, including performing minor maintenance, cleaning, and sterilization, and ensuring proper waste disposal and inventory management. * Architect and implement efficient data collection systems to track laboratory results and analysis, and provide timely reports to line managers on laboratory activities, including any equipment or medicine losses. * Lead quality control and equipment maintenance procedures, ensuring adherence to MSF protocols and standard operating procedures, and perform daily cleaning, maintenance, and sterilization of equipment and glassware. * Ensure strict infection prevention and biosafety practices in the laboratory, and maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and adherence to MSF humanitarian principles. * Collaborate with cross-departmental teams, providing support and flexibility for shift duties and emergency workloads, and drive continuous improvement in laboratory processes and procedures. * Oversee and maintain accurate inventory and storage conditions, and ensure compliance with MSF protocols and highest safety standards for sample collection, labeling, handling, storage, and transportation.
