Key Responsibilities

* Drive the implementation of quality and safety standards at suppliers to ensure top-quality C&A products, aligning with company strategy and global standards. * Architect a 'Right First Time' approach to manufacturing control, technical design, and production, enabling 'Speed to Market' requirements and delivering high-performance products. * Lead and develop supplier production and quality teams to achieve high performance, ensuring QMS audit and NCR CAP actions are completed, and manufacturing controls consistently deliver quality products. * Act as a liaison, providing cross-functional communication and raising awareness of potential issues that may compromise product safety, quality, or delivery. * Monitor supplier performance indicators, identifying and addressing new and recurring issues that impact quality and competence KPIs. * Spearhead new product development, incorporating manufacturing control best practices and market trends to ensure product performance deliverables are met. * Own and resolve quality-related enquiries and issues, providing expert input and solutions to internal and external business units. * Provide guidance on quality and safety issues, implementing problem-solving and corrective action plans to address production problems. * Analyze and report on quality IT tools, performing root cause analysis and providing solutions on major quality issues, including customer returns and inspection fails. * Foster supplier development, tracking QMS corrective action plan commitments, shadow inspection performance reports, and NCR corrective actions to drive continuous improvement. * Adopt a preventative mindset, anticipating and mitigating potential issues in sewing, inspection, and product failure. * Manage Pre-Production Meetings (PPM), advising on manufacturing control processes, pre-production planning, and suitability of cutting and sewing lines to ensure quality and approval of pre-production samples. * Train and certify Self Inspection Suppliers (SIS) and supplier trainers/inspectors, ensuring adherence to C&A quality standards and requirements. * Conduct inspections, quality checks, and tests to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Good knowledge of garment and pattern constructionStrong knowledge of Manufacturing Control Processes, current finishing and engineering techniquesVery Good knowledge of sewing and fabric techniques as well as product safety and qualityGood organisational skills with attention to detail combined with efficient time management, ability to prioritise tasks and enforce executionGood communication, both written and verbalGood problem solving and analytical skills as well as critical thinking and solution driven focus including encouraging the same in others with a forward looking mindsetAdaptable with ability to manage and react to changeGood team player skills combined with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environmentCapable of taking responsibility and knowing when escalation is requiredStrong ability to decide and act with the customer in mindGood knowledge of MS Office Suite, PDM/PLM (Product Data Management/Product Lifecycle Management)Good command in English, both written and verbal, especially in manufacturing and engineering

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
  • Master of Science (MSc) in Textile Engineering
  • Professional qualifications in Production Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or another related subject

  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, PDM/PLM (Product Data Management/Product Lifecycle Management)
  • Good command in English, both written and verbal, especially in manufacturing and engineering
  • Strong manufacturing knowledge, Quality Management Systems and 8D methodology
  • Strong knowledge across woven, knit and accessories categories within the supply base
