IT Support & Network Specialist

* Drive IT support excellence by delivering prompt, effective solutions to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues with a proactive, customer-centric approach. * Architect and maintain computer systems, applications, and peripherals, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. * Manage and secure user accounts, permissions, and access controls, leveraging Active Directory and other IT systems to safeguard sensitive data. * Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of IT support issues and resolutions, utilizing the ticketing system to inform future troubleshooting efforts. * Spearhead software updates, patch management, and system upgrades, minimizing downtime and ensuring the latest security patches are applied. * Design and deliver user training sessions, crafting intuitive documentation to empower employees to resolve common IT issues independently. * Monitor and optimize network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points, to ensure peak performance and security. * Fortify network security through the implementation of firewalls, VPNs, and other robust security measures, protecting against emerging threats. * Analyze and enhance network performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing data-driven solutions to boost efficiency. * Collaborate with cloud service providers to manage and optimize cloud-based infrastructure and services, ensuring scalability and reliability. * Develop and enforce IT policies and best practices, prioritizing network security, data protection, and compliance with industry standards. * Implement and manage routine system monitoring, backups, and disaster recovery procedures, ensuring business continuity in the face of unforeseen events. * Ensure IT systems comply with security policies and standards, responding swiftly to cybersecurity threats and mitigating vulnerabilities. * Conduct regular IT audits to assess system performance, security, and compliance, identifying opportunities for improvement and informing strategic decisions. * Provide system administration support for email domains, including Outlook and Gmail, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. * Partner with cross-functional IT teams to design and implement new technologies, driving system improvements and innovation. * Assist in managing IT infrastructure projects, including system migrations, upgrades, and new implementations, to drive business growth and efficiency. * Foster strategic relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating hardware and software procurement to meet business needs and budget constraints.
