Key Responsibilities

* Drive quality excellence by monitoring inline sewing quality to ensure garments meet buyer standards and specifications. * Lead regular inspections, including inline, end-line, and pre-final checks, to guarantee top-quality products. * Architect and implement quality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and checklists to maintain AQL standards throughout production and final inspection. * Identify and analyze sewing defects, such as skip stitch, puckering, and uneven stitching, and develop corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA) to minimize their occurrence. * Manage and supervise Quality Inspectors (QIs) and Quality Controllers (QCs) on the sewing floor, assigning inspection points and monitoring their performance. * Develop and deliver training programs for operators and QCs on quality standards, defect prevention, and process improvements. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, IE, and Maintenance, to resolve quality issues and optimize production processes. * Facilitate pre-production meetings and pilot run approvals to ensure style-wise quality requirements are clearly communicated and met. * Ensure seamless buyer inspections and audits, maintaining proper documentation for compliance and traceability. * Analyze root causes of recurring defects and develop improvement plans to enhance quality output. * Champion continuous improvement initiatives, such as Lean and Kaizen, to drive process and method improvements. * Prepare and track key performance indicators (KPIs), including Defects per Hundred Units (DHU), and submit daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports to management. * Proactively report major quality issues to management, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing production downtime.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering
  • Apparel Manufacturing
  • Industrial Engineering

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of industrial sewing machines and attachments
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, reporting tools)
  • Strong knowledge of denim garment construction and washing impact on sewing quality
  • Good understanding of AQL, inline inspection, and audit systems
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis (RCA)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must be fluent in English (Reading, writing, and speaking)
