* Spearhead patient assessments, conducting thorough history taking and physical examinations within 24 hours of admission. * Drive investigation processes, sending patients for primary consultant-directed tests and authorizing urgent investigations as needed. * Lead daily ward rounds, evaluating surgical patients and developing treatment plans under consultant guidance. * Manage patient documentation, ensuring timely completion of in-patient rounds, case sheets, progress notes, and medical records. * Deliver high-quality patient care, verifying medication dosages, frequencies, and administration routes while exercising caution and adjusting treatment plans as necessary. * Proactively respond to medical and surgical emergencies, taking initiative to ensure optimal patient outcomes. * Develop and present discharge summaries, educating patients on post-discharge medications and care. * Champion a culture of safety, adhering to hospital practices and contributing to a secure environment for patients and staff. * Engage in clinical meetings, workshops, and paper presentations, fostering a spirit of collaboration and knowledge sharing. * Pursue ongoing education and training, participating in hospital programs to enhance skills and expertise. * Contribute to departmental teaching initiatives, sharing knowledge and guiding junior staff members. * Mentor Residents, overseeing their activities and providing guidance to support their development. * Actively participate in hospital quality initiatives, driving excellence and improvement in patient care and services.
