Key Responsibilities

* Spearhead the creation of innovative, play-based learning materials that cater to children aged 0-8 years, ensuring they are inclusive, engaging, and culturally relevant. * Architect a range of interactive materials, including storybooks, games, and facilitator tools, that align with early childhood development and play-based pedagogy principles. * Drive the development of programme components, such as responsive caregiving and school readiness, by designing and adapting materials that reflect local contexts and needs. * Lead the adaptation and contextualization of materials to accommodate the diverse languages, cultures, and traditions of Rohingya and host communities. * Integrate key messages on child development, inclusion, and wellbeing into materials, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for children with diverse needs and abilities. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure material development aligns with programme objectives and design. * Pilot and test materials in field settings, gathering feedback from stakeholders and using it to inform revisions and improvements. * Develop and refine facilitator guides, manuals, and session tools to support effective programme implementation. * Manage documentation, version control, and archiving of materials, ensuring they are safe, durable, and suitable for use in humanitarian environments. * Champion the use of low-cost, locally sourced resources for play material development, promoting sustainability and community engagement. * Coordinate with technical teams and external experts to review and quality-assure materials, ensuring they meet programme standards and safeguarding principles. * Embed safeguarding principles into all materials and processes, promoting a culture of safety and respect.

  • Training or certification in Early Childhood Education, curriculum development, or play-based learning approaches

  • Education, Early Childhood Development, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, or relevant discipline
  • Knowledge of ECD, play-based learning, inclusive education, and safeguarding
  • Creative, adaptable, detail-oriented, and computer proficient
