Key Responsibilities
* Drive accurate and efficient laboratory investigations to inform patient diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention, spanning Biochemistry & Immunology, Hematology, Microbiology, and Molecular Laboratory sections.
* Lead the operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory analyzers and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to international laboratory standards.
* Manage sample collection, labeling, processing, and reporting, guaranteeing accuracy and compliance with hospital protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Champion quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures, maintaining meticulous documentation of laboratory records and test results.
* Foster a culture of safety, adhering to infection prevention, biosafety, and waste management guidelines to protect patients, staff, and the environment.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including consultants, pathologists, and laboratory physicians, to deliver diagnostic services and drive patient care.
* Architect and implement continuous quality improvement initiatives, participating in laboratory accreditation and driving excellence in laboratory practices.
* Oversee stock management of reagents, kits, and laboratory consumables, ensuring seamless operations and minimizing disruptions.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to provide exceptional patient care and support.
* Ensure the laboratory environment remains clean, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards, providing emergency support during critical situations and on-call duties as required.
* Drive timely reporting of critical values and abnormal findings to physicians or supervisors, maintaining confidentiality and upholding patient trust.
Requirements
Experience
At least 2 years
Education
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Medical Technology or Laboratory Medicine
Additional Requirements
- Strong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and LIS
- Ability to work under pressure and manage workload efficiently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to patient care, accuracy, and ethical laboratory practices
- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, and emergency duties as assigned
