Payroll Systems Engineer

* Architect and manage the payroll software ecosystem, including installation, configuration, customization, and maintenance of the HRIS platform to ensure seamless operations for 700+ employees. * Deploy and maintain a robust biometric attendance network, ensuring device connectivity, firmware updates, and data synchronization to support accurate payroll processing. * Design and implement production-linked payroll logic, incorporating piece-rate, overtime, production incentives, and grade-wise minimum wage compliance to ensure regulatory adherence. * Drive database administration, including SQL query development, data extracts, and audit trail management, while ensuring data integrity, backup, and recovery. * Ensure audit readiness for payroll, attendance, and overtime records, meeting the requirements of BGMEA, RSC, Accord legacy compliance, and direct buyer audits. * Develop and maintain system integrations between attendance devices, payroll software, accounting/ERP, and buyer-facing reporting systems to streamline data flow. * Lead technical troubleshooting efforts, providing first-line support for payroll-tech issues, including device failures, software bugs, and user access problems. * Champion security and data integrity, implementing access controls, data backup, and audit logs to safeguard worker payroll data against tampering or leakage. * Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, SOPs, and integrations, while providing training to HR, Accounts, and Compliance staff to ensure operational continuity. * Manage vendor relationships, coordinating with software vendors, biometric device suppliers, and ISPs for procurement, support contracts, and issue escalation to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
