Key Responsibilities
* Drive financial strategy and governance, providing visionary leadership to the Senior Management Team and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and localization agenda.
* Architect a culture of compliance, securing NGOAB approvals and ensuring adherence to Bangladeshi tax, VAT, payroll, and labor laws, as well as donor requirements and international standards.
* Foster strong partnerships with local NGOs, building their capacity in budgeting, reporting, and compliance to drive sustainable growth and development.
* Develop and implement robust risk management strategies, ensuring business continuity and resilience in the face of crisis or uncertainty.
* Lead and manage external audits, representing Welthungerhilfe in financial discussions with donors, regulators, and other stakeholders, and ensuring transparency and accountability.
* Manage and mentor a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement, and positioning finance as a key driver of programmatic impact and operational resilience.
* Design and implement a comprehensive financial planning framework, providing regular advisory inputs to the Senior Management Team on sustainability, investment priorities, and risk mitigation.
* Ensure seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders, including program teams and senior management, to drive financial sustainability and support the achievement of organizational goals.
* Stay up-to-date with changing regulatory requirements, industry trends, and best practices, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in financial management and governance.

Education
- Master of Business Studies (MBS) in Accounting, Finance
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of senior finance management experience
- Strong knowledge of NGOAB regulations, Bangladeshi tax, VAT, payroll, and labor laws
- Proven expertise in strategic financial management, donor compliance, partner oversight, and audit leadership
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
- Experience representing organizations to donors, regulators, and external stakeholders
- Skilled in mentoring teams and building partner NGO capacity
- High integrity, commitment to humanitarian principles, and cultural sensitivity
