Key Responsibilities

* Drive community-level NCD care by identifying individuals with NCDs, performing screenings, and ensuring early detection and intervention to improve health outcomes. * Empower patients with NCDs through education and ongoing support, focusing on self-management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence to promote better health outcomes. * Foster collaboration with Community Health Workers and healthcare facilities to ensure seamless care coordination, facilitate referrals, and enhance overall NCD management. * Lead community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about NCDs, conducting educational sessions, workshops, and campaigns to promote preventive measures and early intervention. * Architect NCD prevention and control strategies, participating in campaigns and supporting initiatives to reduce the burden of NCDs within the community. * Manage surveillance and data collection efforts, monitoring risk factors, morbidity, and disease-specific mortality related to NCDs, and tracking NCD prevalence and related indicators. * Develop and implement community outreach programs, including health education sessions, group discussions, and awareness-raising campaigns to promote NCD prevention and control. * Promote existing NCD services, addressing myths and misconceptions, and providing individual and group sensitization meetings to support patients, families, and communities. * Conduct comprehensive screenings using standard checklists, physical examinations, and routine check-ups to identify individuals at risk of or diagnosed with NCDs. * Deliver targeted health education and counseling to patients and their families, focusing on NCD prevention, management, and lifestyle modifications to drive positive behavioral change.

Requirements

Experience

2 to 5 years

Education

  • Minimum 18 months paramedical course/diploma affiliated with the regulatory body of the Government of Bangladesh
  • Diploma in Medical Faculty (DMF) Degree from The State Medical Faculty of Bangladesh, with valid Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM & DC) registration

Additional Requirements

  • Training in community health/healthcare, including Non- Communicable Disease (NCD)
