Key Responsibilities
* Drive high-quality medical care for critically ill neonates, infants, and children in the NICU, PICU, and general pediatric settings, ensuring evidence-based practices and effective clinical operations.
* Lead clinical assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care for pediatric patients across inpatient, emergency, and outpatient settings, managing complex medical conditions and ensuring continuity of care.
* Architect and implement comprehensive care plans for neonates requiring special care and intensive monitoring, including participation in neonatal resuscitation, stabilization of sick newborns, and monitoring of ventilated patients.
* Manage critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU, leveraging life-support measures, monitoring vital parameters, and coordinating care with multidisciplinary ICU teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
* Respond to pediatric and neonatal emergencies as a first responder, providing prompt and effective medical services during assigned shifts and ensuring timely escalation of critical cases to consultants.
* Champion clinical governance and quality assurance, adhering to hospital policies, participating in audits and quality improvement initiatives, and supporting patient safety, ethical practice, and risk management activities.
* Supervise and support nursing staff and team members, fostering a collaborative and patient-centered care environment, and providing clinical guidance and expertise to drive exceptional patient outcomes.
* Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and healthcare teams, maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation, including progress notes, discharge summaries, and medico-legal documentation.
* Drive professional development through participation in continuing medical education, training sessions, and departmental activities, staying up-to-date with the latest medical advancements and best practices.
Requirements
Experience
At least 3 years
Education
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
- MBBS degree recognized by the Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BMDC)
- Postgraduate training (FCPS / MD / DCH) in Pediatrics or Neonatology
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of post-internship experience in General Pediatrics or relevant field
- Exposure to NICU and/or PICU services in a tertiary care hospital preferred
- Training in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Life Support (PALS)
