Management Trainee Officer (MTO) – Breede Farm Operations

* Drive flock health and productivity by monitoring feed consumption, weight, and mortality, and supporting vaccination and treatment programs. * Spearhead daily farm operations, including feeding, watering, and lighting management, to ensure seamless and efficient production. * Implement and enforce robust biosecurity measures, such as hygiene protocols, access control, and waste disposal, to safeguard farm health and safety. * Collaborate with technical teams, including feed, lab, and vaccine specialists, to optimize farm performance and resolve issues. * Analyze and report on flock performance, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address production challenges. * Develop and refine technical skills in farm operations, including ventilation, climate control, and equipment use, under the guidance of senior managers. * Lead by example, mentoring junior staff and guiding farm helpers to enhance their skills and knowledge. * Manage and maintain accurate records of production data, bird movement, medication, and mortality to inform data-driven decisions. * Investigate and resolve issues impacting production, such as disease outbreaks or feed refusal, to minimize losses and optimize outcomes. * Architect and implement effective sanitation, disinfection, and pest control protocols to maintain a clean and healthy farm environment.
