Key Responsibilities
* Architect and implement comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Quality Department, driving continuous improvement and adherence to Sailor's standards.
* Develop and maintain robust quality procedures across various production units, including in-house, subcontract, and FOB production, to ensure seamless execution.
* Lead cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Sourcing, and Production, to proactively identify, assess, and resolve complex quality and compliance concerns.
* Foster a strong Quality team, driving expertise and excellence across three layers to enhance Product Quality.
* Define and enforce quality parameters for materials and accessories at each production stage, ensuring compliance and adherence to Sailor's standards.
* Drive pre-production meetings with suppliers and in-house teams, providing clear quality guidelines and ensuring effective implementation.
* Oversee inline inspections, guide production teams, and supervise daily activities to ensure high-quality output.
* Ensure final product quality, including ironing and packing, meets Sailor's standards, and provide hands-on support on production floors.
* Conduct thorough fabric inspections, using standard systems, and make timely decisions on non-conforming materials to ensure quality.
* Establish and enforce quality standards for trims and accessories, driving consistency and excellence.
* Evaluate development and pre-production samples, providing clear accept/reject decisions with justification to the Design Team.
* Validate pattern, marker, and alignment accuracy for all products, ensuring technical approvals and pre-production readiness.
* Collect and analyze customer feedback, driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to enhance product quality and performance.
* Provide regular outlet support, evaluating product performance, collecting field insights, and resolving quality-related issues.
* Design and deliver training programs for production teams on quality standards and updates, driving continuous skill development.
* Prepare and maintain key performance reports, including Defects per Hundred Units (DHU) reports, and conduct monthly KPI review meetings with stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain a supplier-wise quality database and grading system, providing analytical reports to senior management on trends, risks, and improvements.
Requirements
Experience
10 to 12 years
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Apparel Manufacturing
Additional Requirements
- Excellent Communication & Coordination
- Preferable work experience in Woven Top & bottom items
- Experience in Data Analysis and reporting
- Managing quality manuals, SOPs, work instructions
