Key Responsibilities
* Drive factory compliance with local labor laws, international standards, and buyer codes of conduct, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
* Architect and coordinate comprehensive audit programs, including BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, and ISO, to ensure seamless execution and effective follow-up.
* Spearhead preparation for announced and unannounced audits, developing strategic plans to address potential vulnerabilities.
* Design, implement, and monitor corrective action plans (CAPs) in response to audit findings, ensuring prompt remediation and sustained improvement.
* Maintain meticulous records of compliance-related documentation, certifications, and policies, guaranteeing data integrity and accessibility.
* Conduct regular internal inspections and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement and mitigate potential threats.
* Champion workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance, monitoring standards, systems, and practices to ensure a safe and responsible work environment.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Administration, Production, and EHS, to integrate compliance requirements into daily operations.
* Develop and deliver targeted training programs to enhance employee, supervisor, and management staff knowledge of compliance protocols and labor standards.
* Uphold rigorous labor standards, including working hours, wages, overtime, leave, and grievance handling, to foster a fair and respectful work environment.
* Foster strategic relationships with buyers, auditors, government agencies, and certification bodies to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.
* Oversee corrective measures related to sustainability, chemical management, and environmental impact reduction, driving continuous improvement and responsible practices.
* Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and buyers, providing actionable insights and recommendations for enhanced performance.
* Stay abreast of evolving labor laws, compliance regulations, and buyer requirements, applying this knowledge to inform strategic decision-making and compliance strategies.
