Key Responsibilities
* Spearhead community mobilization efforts, driving the formation and reactivation of community groups to foster collective action and participatory engagement.
* Foster strong relationships with local government officials, elected representatives, NGOs, waste workers, recyclers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and social accountability.
* Lead community outreach and awareness initiatives, promoting behavior change and community-based resource recovery and recycling systems.
* Manage and coordinate community volunteers, ensuring their active participation and engagement in project activities.
* Develop and maintain a network of local stakeholders, including municipality officials, waste workers, and community leaders, to support project implementation and sustainability.
* Drive the implementation of project interventions, including improving waste containment and collection systems, enhancing waste worker capacity, and expanding community-based recycling initiatives.
* Facilitate training and capacity-building programs for community members, waste workers, and other stakeholders to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to ensure project goals are met.
* Collaborate with other BRAC programs and teams to leverage resources, expertise, and best practices, ensuring a cohesive and integrated approach to urban development and waste management.
* Represent the project and BRAC in local forums, meetings, and events, promoting the organization's mission and values.

Additional Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of working experience with NGOs or international development organizations
- Field experience in working with municipalities, youth groups and community groups is preferable
- Demonstrated ability to work in development projects
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and have impact on input on project indicators
- Having respect for different races, ethnic communities and genders
- Project implementation and capacity building competencies
