Key Responsibilities
• Spearhead strategic workforce planning to synchronize with paddy procurement and milling cycles, ensuring seamless operations.
• Champion compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Bangladesh Labor Act, factory rules, and food safety standards, to maintain a safe and responsible work environment.
• Accelerate recruitment processes to swiftly onboard mill operators, husk handlers, packers, and logistics staff within tight deadlines.
• Implement and enforce rigorous site safety protocols to safeguard milling floors, godowns, and boiler operations, minimizing risks and ensuring a secure workplace.
• Architect optimized shift rostering systems to maximize milling uptime during peak seasons, driving productivity and efficiency.
• Oversee contractor labor compliance, encompassing wage management, attendance tracking, and personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence.
• Develop and execute strategies to minimize absenteeism, leveraging biometric attendance systems and real-time alerts to promote a reliable and engaged workforce.
• Facilitate prompt and effective grievance resolution at the factory level, preventing work stoppages and fostering a positive work environment.
• Direct mill administration, encompassing security, canteen services, worker accommodations, and transportation, to ensure the well-being and satisfaction of all employees.
• Pioneer digital HR initiatives, streamlining payroll, leave management, and contractor billing processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular compliance audits to ensure adherence to labor registers, overtime records, and safety gear protocols, maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance.
• Cultivate a robust talent pipeline for critical roles, including boiler operators, auto-rickshaw drivers, and quality graders, to drive business growth and continuity.
Requirements
Experience
4 to 8 years
Education
- Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Management
- Bachelor of Law (LLB)
Additional Requirements
- Years of experience: 4–8 years (minimum 2 years in agro-processing or heavy industry)
- Industry experience: Rice mill, food processing, or grain storage operations strongly preferred
- Professional certifications: PGD in HRM or Bangladesh Labor Law certification
- Bangladesh Labor Law & DIFE compliance – factory registers, overtime, annual leave, Form XII
- Seasonal & casual workforce management – paddy season surge, daily wage handling
- Factory safety & boiler operation compliance – license renewal, accident reporting
- Digital HR & biometric systems – real-time attendance for daily workers
- Contractor & aratdar labor management – wage verification, worker list reconciliation
