Key Responsibilities
* Lead comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities, informing personalized therapy plans.
* Architect and deliver tailored occupational therapy interventions, driving progress in daily living skills, fine motor skills, and sensory integration.
* Drive client empowerment by recommending and training on adaptive equipment and assistive devices, enhancing independence and self-sufficiency.
* Foster collaborative relationships with multidisciplinary teams, including speech and language therapists, special educators, and other professionals, to ensure cohesive support.
* Educate and support parents, caregivers, and communities on strategies for promoting occupational therapy principles in home and community settings.
* Manage accurate and up-to-date client records, including assessments, session notes, and progress reports, to inform therapy decisions.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences, contributing to holistic client support and driving informed decision-making.
* Monitor client progress, adjusting therapy goals and plans to optimize outcomes and ensure responsive support.
* Champion awareness campaigns, workshops, and community outreach programs, promoting occupational therapy and social inclusion.
* Leverage expertise in sensory integration, fine/gross motor development, and occupational therapy assessment tools to inform practice and drive innovation.
* Demonstrate exceptional communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills, working effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders.
* Utilize strong documentation and report writing skills, complemented by computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, to support efficient practice and communication.
* Embody a passion for humanitarian and social work, driven by a self-motivated, responsible, and organized approach to practice.
