Key Responsibilities

* Drive technical expertise in fabric management, leveraging knowledge of yarns, fabric manufacturing, dyeing, and finishing to mitigate risks and ensure quality standards. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design and innovation, to identify emerging trends and develop innovative fabrics across knit and woven categories. * Architect and implement sustainable fabric sourcing strategies, ensuring compliance with buyer-nominated sources, internal hazardous chemical limits, and ISO chemical standards. * Conduct thorough risk assessments during development and pre-production phases, providing corrective actions and recommendations to stakeholders. * Lead detailed fabric analysis, evaluating structure, design, and production processes, including yarn types, weaving, dyeing, and finishing techniques. * Develop and maintain accurate fabric specifications, declaring fabrication, construction, weave, weight, color pattern, and finish type for swatches received from buyers. * Foster strong relationships with lab teams, ensuring alignment on fabric evaluation and updating QAM and merchant teams on progress. * Analyze order sheets, providing detailed risk analysis and approval recommendations to inform production decisions. * Manage sampling batches, proto size sets, and fabric production, ensuring quality standards, shade band lots, and approval protocols are met. * Oversee fabric production in factories, monitoring yarn in-house, knitting, dyeing, and updating stakeholders on progress. * Ensure timely inventory management, yarn in-house, knitting, and dyeing of fabric, mitigating delays and ensuring compliance with TNA requirements. * Inspect fabric quality, ensuring PP matches approved parameters, and addressing any deviations or concerns with stakeholders.

Requirements

Experience

At least 6 years

Skills

MS Office package (Especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc)
  • Graduate in Textile Manufacturing

Additional Requirements

  • Relevant work experience in Buying House/Factory
  • Experience in knit & woven category
  • Experience in Menswear, Womenswear, and Kidswear product safety and process controls
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong presentation and delivery skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office package
