Key Responsibilities
* Drive the implementation of Women and Girls Safe Space (WGSS) programs, including WELP, Girl Shine, and recreational activities, to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for women and adolescent girls.
* Lead group sessions and activities, facilitating participation and engagement among women and girls, while ensuring adherence to approved methodologies and maintaining a respectful atmosphere.
* Manage the day-to-day operations of the WGSS, overseeing cleanliness, safety, and accessibility, and coordinating activity schedules to prevent overlapping and overcrowding.
* Foster community engagement and outreach efforts, promoting WGSS services and encouraging participation among diverse groups, including adolescents, survivors, and women with disabilities.
* Supervise and guide WGSS volunteers and facilitators, monitoring attendance and participation, and promoting adherence to ActionAid's Code of Conduct and safeguarding standards.
* Develop and maintain accurate records of WGSS activities, attendance, and outputs, and collect feedback from participants to inform program improvement and submit regular reports to the GBV Prevention Officer.
* Ensure safe and ethical handling of disclosures related to GBV or protection concerns, referring cases to appropriate response services and maintaining confidentiality and survivor-centered approaches.
* Uphold ActionAid's safeguarding, PSEA, and child protection policies, reporting concerns and incidents through established procedures, and maintaining respectful and professional behavior with community members and colleagues.
* Prioritize security and staff wellbeing, following ActionAid security protocols and camp-level regulations, participating in supervision and self-care activities, and contributing to a positive and safe work environment.

Experience

Education
- Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Development Studies
- Bachelor of Social Science (BSS)
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Gender Studies, Development Studies, or a related field.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in GBV prevention, women and girls programming, or community-based work.
- Experience working in WGSS or similar safe spaces preferred.
- Experience in humanitarian or refugee settings is an asset.
- Basic understanding of GBV prevention, women’s empowerment, and adolescent programming.
- Experience facilitating group sessions or recreational activities is desirable.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain safe and inclusive spaces.
