Key Responsibilities
* Drive shelter and site improvement initiatives within the assigned camp, ensuring strategic planning, quality implementation, and effective supervision of shelter teams.
* Oversee construction work, including NFI distribution, to guarantee quality and compliance, and make necessary adjustments to timelines to meet programme objectives.
* Develop and submit regular progress reports, including daily, weekly, and monthly updates, to inform programme decision-making and support the preparation of half-yearly, yearly, and project closure reports.
* Foster collaboration and effective communication with stakeholders, including weekly sector coordination meetings, to address issues and drive programme success.
* Architect shelter and site improvement activities, focusing on budget allocation, activity planning, and developing the Annual Operation Plan (AOP), to ensure effective community-based shelter programming.
* Lead needs assessments, field observations, FGDs, and community consultations to identify appropriate shelter and site improvement interventions, and drive programme implementation.
* Manage relationships with internal departments (Procurement, Finance, Admin, Logistics, Communications) and external stakeholders (Site Management, GoB officials, donors, and community representatives) to ensure seamless programme delivery.
* Champion safeguarding best practices, ensuring a safe working environment for staff, volunteers, and beneficiaries, and uphold safeguarding policies to prevent harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation.
* Serve as a safeguarding expert, providing guidance and support to team members, and promoting the implementation of safeguarding standards in all programme activities.
* Implement and enforce safeguarding reporting procedures, encouraging team members to report incidents, and ensuring that all programme participants are protected from harm.

Education
- Bachelor/Honors Diploma or Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or graduation in any relevant discipline
Additional Requirements
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of shelter programming, camp-level coordination, and humanitarian response operations
- Applies practical knowledge of field implementation, construction monitoring, and basic site management
- Utilizes MS Office tools efficiently for accurate reporting, documentation, and data management
- Coordinates effectively with camp-level stakeholders
- Communicates clearly and professionally in both Bangla and English
- Uses problem-solving and time management skills to address operational challenges and meet deadlines
- Works collaboratively in demanding and remote settings with integrity, accountability, and professionalism
