Key Responsibilities
* Spearhead the microfinance program at the national level, driving strategic growth, innovation, and excellence
* Architect and implement a comprehensive risk management framework to ensure portfolio sustainability and compliance with regulatory requirements
* Drive digital transformation initiatives, leveraging technologies such as SISTE, cluster-based mapping, and smart monitoring systems to enhance operational efficiency
* Foster a high-performance culture, focusing on key performance indicators such as OTR, PAR, savings, and loan portfolio growth
* Develop and implement robust monitoring, compliance, and anti-corruption mechanisms to ensure transparency and accountability
* Lead and manage zonal and branch-level management teams, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless program execution
* Design and launch innovative financial products and inclusive financing models, catering to the diverse needs of microfinance clients
* Ensure seamless integration of the microfinance program with the organization's overall strategic objectives, aligning with the government's development agenda and the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for growth, improve operational processes, and enhance the overall customer experience
* Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes, applying this knowledge to inform strategic decisions and drive program evolution
* Build and maintain strategic partnerships with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, financial institutions, and industry peers, to advance the microfinance program's objectives and reputation.
Requirements
Experience
12 to 15 years
Education
- Master's degree in Finance
- Master's degree in Economics
- Master's degree in Business Administration
- Master's degree in Development Studies
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 12–15 years of experience in microfinance/financial inclusion
- At least 5 years in senior leadership position
- Proven track record in managing large-scale MF operations
- Strong experience in digital MF systems and compliance
- Strategic thinking and leadership
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation ability
- Integrity, accountability, and ethical leadership
- Crisis management and problem-solving skills
