Key Responsibilities

* Spearhead financial management by documenting transactions, securing financial data, and performing regular database backups to ensure accuracy and compliance. * Architect and maintain a robust accounting system, developing guidelines for project monitoring and ensuring adherence to financial regulations and donor requirements. * Drive financial reconciliation by analyzing account information, identifying discrepancies, and implementing corrective measures to maintain fiscal integrity. * Facilitate timely payments by verifying documentation, requesting disbursements, and ensuring compliance with project budgets and financial guidelines. * Develop and implement effective record-keeping systems, utilizing recommended software to maintain precise accounting records, inventory management, and asset tracking. * Oversee the inventory management process, appraising, evaluating, and recording real property and equipment to ensure accurate valuation and location tracking. * Streamline the approval process for bills and vouchers, ensuring alignment with budget line items and project financial guidelines. * Analyze and examine financial records, statements, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting standards, identifying areas for improvement. * Generate high-quality financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly basis, providing insights to inform project decisions. * Provide comprehensive administrative support to project staff, ensuring seamless operations and efficient use of resources. * Design and maintain a well-organized filing system, both physical and digital, in collaboration with the Project Focal, to ensure easy access to critical documents. * Manage employee personnel files, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and collecting required documents to ensure compliance with HR regulations. * Maintain and update attendance, leave, and movement registers, ensuring accurate tracking and record-keeping. * Collaborate with the Head Office and District Project Officer/Unit Coordinator to implement instructions, ensure alignment with project goals, and drive results. * Embrace a flexible and adaptive approach, performing additional duties as required to support project success and organizational objectives.

Additional Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in the relevant field in national/international NGOs is preferable
  • Proficiency in budget formats in Excel or any other standard financial management program will be a plus point
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of qualitative and quantitative assessment techniques
  • Strong communication skills and proven experience in interpreting information and report writing in Bangla and English
  • Capacity to work independently and under pressure
  • Good computer knowledge is essential, especially in MS Word, Excel, and Accounting Software (Tally)
  • Skilled at email communication
