Medical Interpreter

* Facilitate seamless communication between medical staff and local populations by providing expert verbal interpretation and written translations, ensuring accuracy, respect, and confidentiality. * Drive cultural awareness among medical staff by sharing key cultural nuances and insights to enhance interactions with local communities. * Deliver high-quality interpretation services in various settings, including in-person meetings, medical consultations, and remote communications via telephone or other devices. * Architect effective communication strategies, adapting language and tone to suit diverse circumstances, while maintaining diplomatic and courteous manners. * Lead the translation of internal and external documents, ensuring timely and accurate conversion into local languages and English. * Manage a comprehensive record of all translated documents, maintaining confidentiality and upholding medical secrecy. * Collaborate with supervisors and managers on ad-hoc non-medical tasks, such as temporary interventions or partnerships with other NGOs, providing support and expertise as needed. * Validate and document birth certificates in accordance with CIC procedures, ensuring compliance and accuracy. * Develop and maintain a strong understanding of local customs, cultures, and languages, including English, Rohingya, and Bangladeshi, to provide expert translation services upon request.
