Key Responsibilities

* Drive procurement operations to ensure seamless hospital functioning by sourcing high-quality medicines, medical consumables, equipment, and general supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner. * Spearhead purchase and procurement activities, including processing requisitions, collecting quotations, and preparing comparative statements to inform vendor selection decisions. * Architect and issue purchase orders, obtaining necessary approvals and following up with suppliers to guarantee on-time delivery of materials. * Foster strong relationships with vendors through effective communication, vendor evaluation, and performance monitoring to ensure optimal pricing, availability, and quality. * Manage inventory levels and coordinate with central stores, pharmacies, and user departments to prevent stock-out situations and ensure critical items are prioritized. * Ensure compliance with internal control systems, audit requirements, and hospital procurement guidelines by maintaining accurate documentation, including requisitions, quotations, and invoices. * Lead cost control initiatives through price negotiation, market surveys, and competitive purchasing strategies, providing data-driven insights through purchase reports and supplier analysis. * Develop and maintain procurement data in ERP/SCM software, supporting process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, transparency, and cost optimization. * Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare annual procurement plans and budgets, driving strategic decision-making and resource allocation. * Facilitate internal and external audits, ensuring seamless audit processes and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Masters' degree in any discipline
  • Major in Supply Chain Management

  • Knowledge of hospital procurement and supply chain processes
  • Strong coordination, negotiation, and vendor management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP / procurement software
  • Ability to handle urgent requirements and work under pressure
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
