Key Responsibilities

* Drive the implementation of high-quality Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) practices in a 67-bed hospital setting, ensuring compliance with health regulations and safety standards. * Lead the management of sterilization processes, linen management, and waste management, including healthcare solid, infectious, and hazardous waste, to maintain a safe environment and deliver high-quality healthcare. * Oversee the operation and maintenance of WASH devices and facilities, collaborating with the WASH program Lead to ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality. * Develop and implement effective IPC strategies, protocols, and standards, ensuring universal hygiene practices are upheld and a safe environment is maintained for patients, staff, and visitors. * Manage and coordinate training and mentoring programs for technical hospital staff, including waste collectors, operators, sterilization staff, chlorinators, hospital cleaners, and WASH technicians, to enhance their skills and knowledge in IPC and WASH. * Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the health sector, to facilitate day-to-day operations and ensure effective collaboration in the event of a major humanitarian emergency. * Architect and implement emergency response plans, adapting to changing circumstances and working hours as needed, to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality healthcare services. * Champion a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, promoting equal employment opportunities and welcoming underrepresented groups to apply, to better serve the communities and reflect their diversity.

Requirements

Experience

4 to 5 years

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Nursing
  • Public Health
  • Environmental Science
  • Medical allied science
  • Health Care Management
  • Hospital management
  • Civil or public health Engineering
