Key Responsibilities

* Drive the technical aspects of the health programme, focusing on Sexual Reproductive Health and high-risk pregnancies, to deliver life-saving interventions and improve health outcomes. * Lead the development and implementation of medical interventions, including surgical and medical procedures, to address obstetric emergencies and ensure high-quality patient care. * Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, mentoring and supervising medical officers, midwives, nurses, and allied health staff to build resilient and effective teams. * Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including technical working groups and communities of practice, to stay updated on best practices and share expertise. * Build and maintain strong relationships with key clinical team members, including Pediatricians, Anesthesiologists, operating theatre staff, and midwives, to ensure seamless communication and coordination. * Architect and implement strategies to improve service delivery, leveraging expertise and knowledge to drive positive change and enhance patient outcomes. * Manage and coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve programme goals, promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and ensuring that the organization's commitment to equal employment opportunities is upheld.

Education

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience practicing independently as an Obs /Gynae
  • Up to date evidence of current license and registration to practice
  • Ability and willingness to travel to remote and insecure locations and in unstable areas
  • Previous experience of managing obstetric complications
  • Familiar with the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for reproductive health in humanitarian settings
  • Advanced life support, pediatric life support and neonatal life support trained or their equivalents
