Key Responsibilities

* Drive fabric development and sourcing initiatives by coordinating sample management, testing, and supplier communication to ensure seamless execution. * Spearhead woven fabric sourcing efforts, balancing quality, cost, and development requirements to meet business objectives. * Collaborate with mills to facilitate sampling, submissions, and approvals, ensuring timely and high-quality fabric development. * Analyze fabric specifications, including construction, GSM, weave, and finishes, to guarantee compliance with technical guidelines. * Fuel R&D initiatives by researching innovative fibers, constructions, and finishes, and presenting findings to stakeholders. * Identify, evaluate, and showcase new fabric developments and supplier innovations to inform design and product decisions. * Monitor ongoing developments, ensuring alignment with design and technical requirements, and proactively address any discrepancies. * Manage supplier relationships, tracking sample deliveries and development timelines to prevent delays and ensure timely production. * Conduct in-house and third-party fabric testing, interpreting results, and reporting deviations to maintain quality standards. * Maintain comprehensive fabric archives and technical documentation, serving as a key liaison between suppliers, buyers, and internal teams to resolve issues and support bulk production.

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering

Additional Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of textiles (fibers, fabrics, dyeing, finishing)
  • Understanding of fabric testing and quality parameters
  • Proficiency in MS Office and basic ERP/PLM systems
  • Good data tracking and documentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and meet deadlines
