Key Responsibilities
* Drive child-centered case management services, ensuring cases are managed in a rights-based and ethical manner, aligned with organizational policies and national legislation.
* Lead child protection assessments, developing and implementing individual case plans in collaboration with children and caregivers, and facilitating referrals to essential services.
* Manage case documentation, maintaining accurate and confidential records, and ensuring seamless information management through CPIMS+ or other approved systems.
* Foster community engagement, working closely with community volunteers, caregivers, and leaders to identify children at risk, and promoting awareness and prevention activities related to child protection risks.
* Coordinate referrals, ensuring timely access to services for children, and conducting follow-up visits to guarantee continuity of care, while participating in case conferences and team review meetings.
* Champion safeguarding, ethics, and professional conduct, applying child-centered approaches, adhering to ActionAid's Code of Conduct, and reporting safeguarding concerns and critical incidents.
* Deliver regular case updates and activity reports, supporting monitoring visits, audits, and evaluations, and engaging in supervision sessions, training, and capacity-building activities to drive excellence.
* Prioritize security and staff wellbeing, complying with ActionAid security protocols, practicing self-care, and maintaining respectful relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
* Architect referral and case tracking systems, ensuring updated records and efficient information sharing, while promoting safe, child-friendly, and culturally sensitive engagement with children and families.
* Facilitate case closure and post-closure follow-up, ensuring comprehensive support for children and caregivers, and driving a culture of accountability, transparency, and excellence in child protection case management.
Requirements
Experience
1 to 3 years
Education
- Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Child Development, or a related field.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in child protection or social work.
- Experience working with children and families in humanitarian or community-based settings preferred.
- Basic understanding of CP Case Management Guidelines and child protection principles.
- Ability to work with vulnerable children using child-friendly and ethical approaches.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Willingness to learn CPIMS+ and case management tools.
