Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the Multi-Purpose Child Protection Centre, fostering a safe, clean, and child-friendly environment that promotes wellbeing and protection.
* Architect daily and weekly activity schedules, ensuring adherence to centre SOPs, child safeguarding standards, and Code of Conduct to minimize risks and optimize programme delivery.
* Drive community engagement and participation by building relationships with community leaders, caregivers, and children, promoting inclusive participation and ownership of centre activities.
* Manage and support community groups and adolescent clubs, guiding them to identify child protection concerns and develop positive actions at the community level.
* Deliver life skills programmes for girls, boys, and caregivers, using approved curricula to promote learning on communication, decision-making, emotional wellbeing, and protection awareness.
* Design and implement recreational and structured activities that support psychosocial wellbeing, confidence, and positive social interaction, ensuring they are safe, inclusive, and suitable for different age groups.
* Oversee volunteer management, providing recruitment support, orientation, and daily supervision, while monitoring attendance, performance, and conduct to ensure effective programme delivery.
* Foster a culture of leadership, participation, and peer support among adolescents, promoting community-led child protection initiatives and positive development.
* Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize programme impact and reach.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to promote child protection, wellbeing, and positive development, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive approach to supporting the Rohingya Refugee Community.
Requirements
Experience
1 to 3 years
Education
- Bachelor of Social Science (BSS) in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Sociology, Development Studies, or a related field.
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in child protection, community engagement, education, or child-focused programming.
- Experience managing or supporting child-friendly or community centres preferred.
- Experience working with children and caregivers in humanitarian or refugee contexts is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of child protection principles and child safeguarding.
- Experience facilitating group sessions with children, adolescents, and caregivers.
- Ability to organize recreational and life skills activities.
- Strong coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills.
