Key Responsibilities
* Spearhead the development and implementation of comprehensive sterilization protocols, ensuring seamless integration with hospital operations and infection control standards.
* Architect and oversee the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) operations, driving efficiency and compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Drive the maintenance of high sterilization standards, instrument availability, and safe handling procedures across all clinical departments, including OT, ICU, wards, and emergency services.
* Manage the inventory of surgical instruments and sterilization supplies, ensuring timely distribution and minimizing stockouts.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including surgeons, OT staff, nursing teams, and biomedical departments, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
* Lead the training and development of staff on sterilization procedures, infection prevention protocols, and best practices, fostering a culture of excellence and compliance.
* Oversee the maintenance and repair of sterilization equipment, autoclave operations, and instrument repair, ensuring optimal functionality and minimizing downtime.
* Develop and maintain accurate documentation of sterilization records, compliance audits, and quality control measures, ensuring transparency and accountability.
* Ensure compliance with hospital accreditation, healthcare safety regulations, and industry standards, driving a culture of safety and excellence.
* Foster a high-performing team, providing guidance, support, and feedback to staff, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
* Analyze and resolve sterilization-related issues, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in sterilization and infection control practices.
