Scientific Officer

* Drive the execution of sophisticated laboratory tests, including molecular diagnostics and advanced biochemistry, in strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Validate and verify test results to ensure accuracy and reliability before releasing them to clinicians and pathologists. * Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with automated analyzers and manual assay procedures to minimize downtime and optimize laboratory efficiency. * Collaborate on the standardization and validation of novel diagnostic kits and laboratory protocols to stay at the forefront of medical innovation. * Oversee daily internal quality control measures and participate in External Quality Assurance (EQA) programs to maintain the highest standards of laboratory excellence. * Lead the calibration and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan. * Architect and implement technical SOPs and biosafety guidelines, ensuring strict adherence and continuous updates to reflect best practices. * Supervise and mentor Medical Technologists (Lab) and junior staff to foster a culture of workflow efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement. * Manage the procurement and inventory of reagents and lab consumables, mitigating the risk of service disruptions and ensuring seamless laboratory operations. * Serve as a key liaison, notifying department heads or supervisors of abnormal findings, critical laboratory conditions, or other high-priority issues that require prompt attention.
