* Lead patient assessments and evaluations within the first 24 hours of admission, capturing detailed medical histories and performing thorough physical examinations. * Drive diagnostic processes by ordering and authorizing investigations, ensuring timely and relevant testing for optimal patient care. * Manage daily ward rounds, assessing surgical patients and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with primary consultants. * Oversee and document patient progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date case sheets, progress notes, and medical records in compliance with JCI standards. * Deliver high-quality patient care, ensuring medications are administered correctly and safely, with careful consideration of dosages, frequencies, and routes of administration. * Continuously monitor patient progress, adjusting management plans as needed and responding promptly to medical and surgical emergencies. * Architect comprehensive discharge plans, preparing timely summaries and educating patients on post-discharge medications and care. * Champion patient and staff safety, adhering to hospital practices and promoting a culture of safety and excellence. * Engage in ongoing professional development, participating in clinical meetings, workshops, and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills. * Contribute to departmental teaching programs, sharing expertise and guiding junior staff members, including Residents, to foster a culture of learning and growth. * Collaborate on quality initiatives, driving improvements in patient care and outcomes, and upholding the hospital's commitment to excellence.
