Key Responsibilities

* Drive the implementation of midwifery mentorship programs in UNFPA-supported facilities, providing administrative and clinical support to International Midwife Mentors (IMMs) and ensuring high-quality midwifery services. * Lead capacity-building initiatives, providing clinical mentoring and training to midwives and midwifery supervisors, and identifying staff development needs to enhance care and outcomes. * Collaborate with UNFPA-funded SRH WG implementing partners to strengthen midwifery services, supporting IMMs in capacity building, training, mentorship, and clinical supervision. * Facilitate midwifery team meetings, contributing to the development of policies and guidelines that improve health service provision and patient outcomes. * Develop and implement work plans, compiling reports on midwifery services and presenting biweekly situational reports on midwife and health facility needs. * Manage documentation and reporting, ensuring timely completion of project results and outputs, and engaging in professional development opportunities to enhance expertise. * Foster coordination and interagency collaboration, participating in meetings with the midwifery coordinator team to enhance program coordination and effectiveness. * Contribute to the UNFPA SRHR team, SRH WG, and IPs, providing insights and recommendations to improve midwifery services and achieve project goals. * Architect and implement strategies to strengthen the midwifery workforce, building capacity and promoting sustainable midwifery practices in Rohingya refugee camps and adjacent host communities.

Education

  • Diploma in Midwifery
  • Diploma
  • BSc in Midwifery

Additional Requirements

  • Working experience at Rohingya refugee camp
  • Clinical experience as a Midwife in Bangladesh
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and in challenging environments
  • Commitment to humanitarian principles and the well-being of Rohingya refugees
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in leadership
  • Commitment to continuous learning
  • High level of ability to organise and manage own time
  • Practical experience facilitating and training of staff and partners
