Key Responsibilities
* Drive the implementation of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) activities, updating project plans and responding to emergencies as needed.
* Collaborate with medical staff to identify and address potential patient complications, medication issues, and other concerns, ensuring timely escalation to the Medical Coordinator.
* Provide expert guidance and support to field doctors, midwives, and nurses during normal and complicated deliveries, promoting high-quality patient care.
* Oversee the monitoring and referral of newborns and pregnant women to the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI), ensuring seamless continuity of care.
* Lead, train, and supervise the Midwife and Maternity team, focusing on capacity-building, performance evaluation, and staff development.
* Champion the implementation of protocols and best practices to enhance healthcare quality, prevent infections, and promote rational use of resources.
* Partner with the Project Logistician to manage drug distribution, track consumption patterns, and maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring efficient use of materials and resources.
* Analyze routine data to inform decision-making, supervising administrative procedures and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Architect staff rosters, leave plans, and duty schedules, optimizing resource allocation and ensuring adequate coverage.
* Foster a woman-centred approach, emphasizing hygiene standards, precautions, and evidence-based practice.
* Spearhead the development of clinical audits, midwifery audits, and systems to drive evidence-based decision-making.
* Ensure administrative procedures and documents are completed accurately, maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting effective team communication.
* Mentor and support midwives, providing guidance on regulatory frameworks, health promotion, and health education.
* Develop and implement policies, procedures, and infection control measures, driving a culture of quality and safety.
* Build strong relationships with Referral Centers, facilitating collaboration and coordination.
* Design and deliver initial and continuing education programs, assessing training needs and promoting professional development.

Education
- Diploma in Midwifery
- Diploma
- Diploma in Midwifery with certificate from Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council and Valid BNMC registration
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 2-years experience in the related field
- Fluency in English and proficiency in the local language is desirable
- Working experience at Rohingya refugee camp will be an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and in challenging environments
- Commitment to humanitarian principles and the well-being of Rohingya refugees
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
- High level of ability to organise and manage own time keeping to schedule and deadlines
