Key Responsibilities
* Drive environmental compliance by navigating local laws, regulations, and international standards to ensure seamless adherence.
* Architect and maintain a robust Environmental Management System (EMS), fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
* Spearhead the development and implementation of environmental policies, procedures, and objectives that propel the organization forward.
* Monitor and analyze key environmental performance indicators, such as energy and water consumption, to inform data-driven decisions.
* Lead waste and pollution control initiatives, ensuring the effective handling, storage, and disposal of solid, liquid, and hazardous waste.
* Conduct internal audits and site inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
* Facilitate external audits, buyer assessments, and regulatory inspections, ensuring transparency and compliance.
* Manage environmental permits, licenses, and documentation, maintaining accurate records and registers.
* Design and deliver environmental awareness and compliance training programs that empower employees to make a positive impact.
* Identify and mitigate environmental risks, developing proactive strategies to minimize incidents and ensure business continuity.
* Champion resource efficiency and sustainability initiatives, driving reductions in energy, water consumption, and waste generation.
* Foster collaboration with government authorities, consultants, and certification bodies to stay ahead of regulatory requirements.
* Develop and submit environmental reports that inform management, clients, and regulatory bodies, showcasing the organization's commitment to environmental stewardship.
* Develop and implement emergency response plans, conducting regular drills and evaluations to ensure preparedness and effectiveness.

Experience
4 to 5 years
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science, Geography and Environment, Chemical Technical/Engineering, ISO14001
