Key Responsibilities
* Drive the delivery of legal support services to the host community in Cox's Bazar, ensuring vulnerable populations have access to justice and their rights are protected.
* Collaborate with humanitarian organizations, local authorities, and community leaders to provide legal counsel, mediation, and representation to survivors of violence against women and girls (VAWG).
* Architect and implement legal awareness programs to educate community members on common legal issues, removing barriers to justice and promoting informed decision-making.
* Lead the development of legal support plans, conducting sessions in Rohingya camps and host communities to ensure women, girls, and children have access to safe and supportive environments.
* Manage and mitigate risks in legal support delivery, ensuring compliance with internal controls, statutory regulations, and donor requirements.
* Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, statements, and agreements, to support program activities and ensure adherence to organizational policies.
* Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including law enforcement agencies, panel lawyers, and donors, to facilitate effective coordination and collaboration.
* Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant laws and regulations, contributing to the organization's knowledge base and informing program development.
* Provide expert legal assistance, including counseling, mediation, and court representation, to survivors of gender-based violence (GBV).
* Ensure seamless administrative processes, maintaining accurate records and adhering to organizational rules and procedures.
* Develop and implement strategies to promote a culture of compliance, transparency, and accountability within the organization.
* Facilitate training and capacity-building initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge of staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
