Sr. Asst. Manager (Commercial-Import)

* Spearhead import operations, overseeing LC opening, amendments, shipment tracking, and document retirement to ensure seamless execution. * Architect and prepare comprehensive commercial import documents, including bills of exchange, invoices, and shipping bills, to facilitate smooth transactions with buyers, customs, and banks. * Drive communication with foreign suppliers, banks, shipping lines, and C&F agents to expedite shipments and clearances. * Navigate bank and authority interactions to guarantee effortless LC settlement, document processing, and compliance with regulatory requirements. * Ensure adherence to Bangladesh Bank regulations, customs rules, and import policies, mitigating potential risks and penalties. * Monitor and optimize port activities, logistics, and shipment schedules to achieve timely delivery and minimize delays. * Leverage expertise in importing capital machinery and spare parts for the spinning industry, streamlining procedures and commissioning processes. * Conduct thorough cost estimations, duty calculations, and HS code verifications for imported goods, collaborating with C&F agents and transport companies to facilitate smooth clearance and transportation. * Foster strong relationships with internal departments, including Accounts, Procurement, and Production, to align import requirements and drive business objectives. * Identify and implement process improvements to reduce lead times and import costs, enhancing overall operational efficiency. * Maintain meticulous records of import transactions and generate weekly and monthly reports for management, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations. * Lead special projects and tasks as assigned by superiors and management, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to excellence.
