Key Responsibilities
* Drive project implementation and community engagement by facilitating community-based risk and vulnerability assessments, ensuring active community participation and meaningful involvement.
* Establish and support women-led disaster preparedness and evacuation committees, volunteer groups, and Cyclone Shelter Management committees to foster community resilience.
* Architect capacity-building initiatives for key stakeholders, including volunteers, women's groups, Shelter Management committees, children, and youth forums, to enhance their disaster preparedness and response capabilities.
* Strengthen the capacity of Disaster Management Committees (WDMCs/UDMCs/UzDMC) to effectively respond to climate-related disasters and support community-led initiatives.
* Lead the selection of beneficiaries for cash-for-work interventions, livelihood support, and conduct regular field visits to monitor project progress and implementation.
* Foster resilient livelihood options by supporting the selection and implementation of sustainable initiatives, promoting economic empowerment and food security.
* Facilitate community-based risk analysis and vulnerability assessments, ensuring community members' perspectives are integrated into project planning and implementation.
* Manage need assessments for Cyclone Shelter repairs, emergency materials distribution, and support vulnerable family profiling, registration, and digitization.
* Spearhead overall field-level project implementation, community engagement, and stakeholder coordination to ensure project objectives are met.
* Develop and implement effective communication strategies to disseminate early warning messages to vulnerable populations, focusing on agriculture, WASH, and shelter sectors.
* Identify gaps in existing Early Warning Systems (EWS) and contribute to the installation and maintenance of new systems, ensuring timely and accurate warnings to communities.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including local authorities, community leaders, and project partners, to ensure coordinated project implementation and maximize impact.
* Drive stakeholder engagement and participation in project activities, fostering strong relationships with community members, local organizations, and government agencies to support project objectives.
Requirements
Experience
At least 3 years
Education
- Bachelor/Honors
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
Additional Requirements
- 03 Years' experience in a front-line or community-engagement role is highly valued
- Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen understanding of community dynamics
- Knowledge or willingness to learn about MEAL activities and project evaluation processes
- Familiarity with gender and inclusion initiatives
