Key Responsibilities

* Drive project implementation and community engagement by facilitating risk and vulnerability assessments, ensuring active community participation and meaningful involvement. * Architect and establish women-led disaster preparedness and evacuation committees, volunteer groups, and reform Cyclone Shelter Management committees to enhance community resilience. * Lead capacity-building initiatives for volunteers, women's groups, Shelter Management committees, children, and youth forums, and other stakeholders to enhance their disaster preparedness and response capabilities. * Strengthen the capacity of Disaster Management Committees (UDMCs/UzDMCs) to effectively respond to disasters and climate-related hazards. * Manage the selection of beneficiaries for cash-for-work interventions, livelihood support, and conduct regular field visits to monitor progress and provide support. * Develop and implement resilient livelihood options, ensuring proper selection and implementation to enhance community resilience. * Facilitate community-based risk analysis and vulnerability assessments, incorporating community perspectives and ensuring their active involvement. * Conduct needs assessments for Cyclone Shelter repairs, emergency materials distribution, and vulnerable family profiling and registration. * Oversee the digitization of vulnerable family data and ensure accurate records. * Ensure compliance with design specifications, drawings, and BoQ (Bill of Quantities) for WASH and infrastructure activities. * Develop expertise in preparing BoQ, drawing designs for WASH and infrastructure activities, and conducting pre- and post-measurements for CFW (Cash-for-Work) schemes. * Supervise day-to-day construction activities, including CFW, boat ghat, Cyclone shelter repair, and WASH interventions, ensuring timely completion and quality standards. * Provide guidance and supervision to field staff to achieve project implementation targets and objectives.

Requirements

Experience

At least 2 years

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
  • Diploma in Civil
  • BSc/Diploma in civil engineering degree in a relevant field

Additional Requirements

  • 02 Years experience in project supervision, monitoring community-engagement role is highly valued
  • Experience may be relaxed for capable candidate to preparing BoQ, drawing design of WASH and construction interventions
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen understanding of community dynamics
  • Knowledge or willingness to learn about MEAL activities and project evaluation processes
  • Familiarity with gender and inclusion initiatives
