Key Responsibilities
* Drive the implementation of BRAC's UNHCR-funded Legal Assistance Programme in Cox's Bazar and Bhasan Char, ensuring seamless coordination with stakeholders and effective delivery of legal services.
* Spearhead planning, execution, and monitoring of legal assistance activities, aligning with UNHCR standards and BRAC guidelines to achieve programme objectives.
* Oversee programme performance, tracking progress against work plans, targets, and indicators to ensure maximum impact and effectiveness.
* Champion quality service delivery for legal aid, counselling, and legal awareness programmes, maintaining the highest standards of excellence.
* Lead protection monitoring efforts, supervising focal points and ensuring systematic data collection, regular reporting, and coordination on protection risks and incidents.
* Architect and manage legal case management systems, ensuring proper documentation, confidentiality, and follow-up, while supervising referrals and legal awareness initiatives.
* Provide strategic guidance and technical support to Legal Officers, Legal Assistants, and Protection Monitoring staff, facilitating staff training and capacity building to enhance team performance.
* Foster strong relationships with UNHCR, government authorities, and humanitarian partners, representing BRAC and maintaining open communication channels.
* Develop and submit timely project reports, protection monitoring updates, and case management documentation, contributing to donor reporting, programme evaluations, and project reviews.
* Ensure programme implementation aligns with UNHCR protection principles, humanitarian standards, and BRAC policies, promoting accountability, confidentiality, and ethical handling of sensitive cases.
* Prioritize the safety and well-being of programme participants, team members, and stakeholders, establishing a safe working environment and promoting a culture of safeguarding.
* Embed safeguarding principles into every aspect of programme implementation, providing guidance and expertise to team members and ensuring adherence to safeguarding standards and reporting procedures.
