Executive – VAT & Customs

* Spearhead VAT return submissions, ensuring adherence to local regulations and deadlines * Architect and maintain meticulous VAT records, registers, and documentation to facilitate seamless audits and compliance * Drive customs-related documentation processes for import/export activities, guaranteeing accuracy and efficiency * Collaborate with clearing & forwarding agents to streamline customs clearance procedures * Champion compliance with VAT and customs laws, as well as company policies, to mitigate risks and ensure adherence * Analyze and optimize input-output VAT calculations to minimize errors and maximize refunds * Support audit, assessment, and regulatory inspection processes, providing expertise and documentation as needed * Develop and present insightful reports on VAT, tax, and customs activities, informing business decisions and strategic planning * Foster strong relationships with government authorities, such as the NBR and Customs Office, to facilitate communication and resolve issues * Stay abreast of changes in VAT and customs regulations, applying knowledge to drive process improvements and ensure ongoing compliance * Undertake special projects and tasks as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to team objectives
