Key Responsibilities
• Deliver precise medication dispensing to patients and customers, adhering to prescription requirements.
• Guide customers in selecting over-the-counter medications under pharmacist supervision, ensuring informed choices.
• Educate patients on proper medication usage, dosage, storage, and potential side effects, as advised by the pharmacist.
• Drive inventory management by maintaining accurate stock records, tracking daily entries, and monitoring expiry dates.
• Implement FEFO compliance, ensuring timely rotation of stock to minimize waste and optimize inventory.
• Architect efficient pharmacy layouts, organizing shelves for easy navigation and accessibility.
• Manage financial transactions, including billing, cash handling, and receipt generation, utilizing POS systems or manual processes.
• Foster supplier relationships, coordinating medicine procurement and replenishment to meet business needs.
• Uphold stringent cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards within the pharmacy, ensuring a healthy environment.
• Collaborate in periodic inventory audits and physical stock counts, identifying discrepancies and reporting to management.
• Identify and address stock shortages, damages, or irregularities, notifying the pharmacist or manager promptly.
• Maintain meticulous records, including stock registers, challans, and invoices, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
• Ensure temperature-sensitive and controlled medicines are stored under optimal conditions, preserving efficacy and safety.
• Embed a customer-centric approach, delivering exceptional service and satisfaction while maintaining professional conduct.
• Operate with integrity, adhering to pharmacy regulations, company policies, and ethical standards that govern the industry.
Requirements
Experience
2 to 3 years
Education
- Diploma
Additional Requirements
- Sound knowledge of medicines dosage forms and basic pharmacology
- Ability to read and understand medical prescriptions accurately
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer literacy (POS system, MS Excel, inventory software)
- Good numerical ability for billing cash handling and stock reconciliation
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing and record keeping
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards
- Time management and organizational skills
- Teamwork and coordination with pharmacists doctors and suppliers
- Willingness to work in shifts and under pressure when required
