Key Responsibilities

* Drive financial management by maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records, ensuring compliance with project financial guidelines and procedures. * Architect and implement financial systems, including preparation of payment, journal, and deposit vouchers with precise coding and data capture into Vantagepoint. * Lead the review and validation of supporting documentation for payments, ensuring authenticity and completeness. * Manage financial transactions, including recording, reconciling, and obtaining appropriate authorization. * Facilitate advance funds liquidation by following up with technical staff and ensuring timely submission of required documents. * Develop and maintain a robust filing system for financial documents, ensuring easy access, retrieval, and security. * Collaborate with the Finance and Operations Manager to prepare monthly financial reports, forecasts, and bank reconciliations. * Oversee daily financial transactions, including preparation of debit, credit, transfer, and journal vouchers. * Ensure seamless integration of monthly transactions into Vantagepoint, working closely with the Finance and Operations Manager. * Prepare and review monthly financial reports, bank reconciliations, and petty cash statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance. * Verify bills, prepare payments and advances, and submit for review and approval. * Coordinate cash, bank, and travel advance reconciliations, obtaining approval from the Canadian Field Manager and submitting to Cowater International. * Monitor daily and monthly accounts for expenditures from ProNurse bank accounts, ensuring transparency and accountability. * Drive tax compliance, including timely submission of tax remittances and overseeing petty cash management. * Support audit processes by ensuring proper documentation, compliance, and coordination with auditors.

Requirements

Experience

At least 5 years

Education

  • Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting, Finance
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting, Finance

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum 05 years of professional experiences with an Audit or Accounting firm and/or international organization/project working in the finance and admin department
  • Experience of working with Canadian Government Funded Project is strongly desired
  • Experience and understanding of GOB CD-VAT-Tax issues in including Bangladesh Public Procurement Rules
