Key Responsibilities
* Spearhead the identification and registration of vulnerable children, providing quality case management services to those affected by abuse, neglect, child marriage, trafficking, and exploitation.
* Drive access to essential services, including medical, nutrition, mental, and legal support, through effective referral pathways and identify gaps in the referral system.
* Manage and maintain accurate documentation of cases using inter-agency case management forms and CPIMS+, adhering to the Data Protection and Information Sharing Protocol (DPISP) and ensuring timely reporting.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments, including Best Interest Procedures (BIP), Best Interest Assessments (BIA), and Best Interest Determinations (BID), to determine the best interests of children in line with UNHCR guidelines.
* Lead family tracing efforts to reunite children with their parents or relatives, collaborating with local authorities and other child protection agencies as needed.
* Analyze and report on emerging trends and protection concerns, recommending strategies to mitigate risks and address vulnerabilities.
* Collaborate with community mobilizers, stakeholders, and partner agencies to raise awareness and conduct risk mitigation sessions, promoting a culture of child protection.
* Coordinate with other child protection agencies and participate in coordination meetings to ensure a unified response to child protection concerns.
* Develop and facilitate capacity-building activities for community groups, focusing on the identification and referral of vulnerable children and adolescents to relevant services.
* Deliver curriculum-based sessions and meetings to support field facilitators and bridge gaps in service delivery.
* Ensure all child protection initiatives align with BRAC's policies and procedures, promoting a safe and supportive environment for children and communities.
* Champion safeguarding practices, ensuring the safety and well-being of programme participants, team members, and communities from harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation, including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA).
* Embed safeguarding standards into every aspect of programme implementation, providing guidance and expertise to establish a safe working environment.
* Implement and promote safeguarding policies and procedures, reporting any incidents or concerns through established channels.
