Key Responsibilities
* Drive the implementation of worker welfare initiatives, aligning with company policies and Bangladesh Labour Law to foster a positive work environment.
* Foster open communication channels between management and workers, promoting a culture of transparency and collaboration.
* Lead the resolution of worker complaints, grievances, and disciplinary issues, ensuring prompt and fair action.
* Architect a robust Suggestion Box system, encouraging worker feedback and driving continuous improvement.
* Oversee the maintenance of essential facilities, including canteens, drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities, to ensure worker well-being.
* Manage day-care centers, medical centers, and welfare facilities, adhering to compliance requirements and ensuring seamless operations.
* Collaborate with the HR department to develop and deliver awareness training programs, focusing on worker rights, harassment prevention, safety, and health.
* Coordinate with medical staff to address worker health concerns, maintaining accurate records and providing support as needed.
* Design and execute cultural programs, worker engagement activities, and awareness campaigns to boost morale and motivation.
* Maintain meticulous documentation of worker welfare initiatives, complaints, counseling, and committee meetings, ensuring compliance and transparency.
* Conduct regular production floor visits to monitor worker conditions, identify welfare issues, and implement corrective actions.
* Support management during compliance audits and buyer visits, providing expertise on welfare-related matters and ensuring a positive representation of the company.
* Champion additional tasks and projects as assigned by management, driving business growth and excellence.
Requirements
Skills
Good knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Law 2006 (Amended)RMG compliance standards
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management
- Social Welfare
- Sociology
- Diploma or training in Industrial Relations / Labour Law / Compliance
Additional
- Good communication skills in both Bengali and English
- Basic computer skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and email communication
- Strong interpersonal skills to handle worker grievances and counseling effectively
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters
- Must be fluent in English (Reading, writing, and speaking)
